The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007(CDM 2007) came into force on the 6th April 2007. Part of the regulations apply to all construction projects and part of the regulations apply to notifiable projects only.
If the works are notifiable i.e. they last more than 30 working days or 500 persons days of work, then, as the Principal Contractor, you are required under Regulation 23 to ensure that a suitable Construction Phase Plan is prepared. Whether the project is notifiable or not you must be able to demonstrate that work activities are adequately managed from a health, safety and welfare perspective which is likely to include the provision of risk/COSHH/noise assessments, permits to work and/or other relevant documentation.
The 'Outline Plan' which is designed to provide details on the management of health, safety and welfare on site, is completely editable. If you have any specific documentation or would like to make any amendments to existing documentation within SafetyPlan, please contact us using the 'email us' link.
The cost can be from as little as £10 to a maximum of £125 for a full Construction Phase H&S Plan depending on the modules selected. The total cost will be displayed at the bottom of the download page so you know exactly what the cost is before you accept. If you think you may use SafetyPlan a number of times throughout the year, please contact us for a quote for an annual subscription.
You only ever pay for a module once per project. If you go back into a project and download new/previously not downloaded modules there may be an additional cost but the maximum you will ever pay is £125 per project. If you go back into a project a download a module previously downloaded and paid for there is no additional charge.
We do offer annual subscriptions which can be paid for by cheque or BACS payment. If you think you may use SafetyPlan a number of times throughout the year, please contact us for a quote for an annual subscription. If you haven't got a pre-paid subscription then payment via our online secure merchant services provider is the only means to pay which does require a credit or debit card. If you wish to pay by any other method please contact us using the 'email us' link but please bear in mind that documentation will only be released on payment of cleared funds.
All the information requested in order to be registered for safetyplan is held on our secure server. Project details and relevant contacts are held separately but will not be used for any other purpose than to provide your finished documentation.
Except where the project is for a domestic client, the HSE must be notified of projects where construction work is expected to: a) last more than 30 working days; or b) involve more than 500 person days.
